Zone Convection Reflow Limited
In 1987, Ferranti Ltd founded Dimension Two Technology Plc, a company specialising in the assembly (‘pick & place’) of components onto printed circuit boards. The company failed but had started to design a reflow oven to automatically solder components on to printed circuit boards. Zone Convection Reflow Limited was formed in 1989 to complete the design and start manufacture of the ovens. This company was sold to Quad Systems in Philadelphia in 1992.
